Lödige Industries says it closed the year 2021 with a significant increase in turnover of around 30%.

The international supplier of logistics systems and lift solutions is recording strong development in the e-commerce sector, among others. In warehouses and distribution centres as well as freight terminals at airports worldwide, such as dnata’s City East terminal at London Heathrow, the automatic logistics systems as well as the space-saving goods lifts from Lödige Industries are coping with growing shipment volumes.

Hundreds of systems were put into operation last year across the UK and Ireland in addition to Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and North America.

Another focus in the past year was its car lifts and automatic parking systems that counteract the shortage of parking space in urban areas. In addition to the largest automatic parking system in Germany for the new Mizal campus in Du¨sseldorf with 285 parking spaces, a large system was completed in Sydney for almost 330 vehicles.

In the UK, Lo¨dige Industries currently has two automated parking systems close to completion. In addition to ongoing projects in Europe and the USA, further orders have been received in Germany and Switzerland, which will be implemented in the current year.

Intelligent conveyor system solutions from Lo¨dige Industries are also increasingly in demand in production logistics for the automotive industry and others. New projects were completed in 2021 for well-known manufacturers of cars, trucks and buses in UK midlands, Europe including Leipzig and Berlin, as well as in North America.

"In times of globally strained supply chains, efficient systems for an optimal flow of goods are becoming increasingly important. This is just as much a global trend as the increasing scarcity of parking space in urban areas. Our solutions are designed to help customers around the world adapt flexibly to changing requirements. Therefore, despite all the unknowns associated with the pandemic, we are looking to the new year with a great deal of optimism and expect demand to continue to increase in 2022," said Philippe De Backer, CEO, Lo¨dige Industries.

Michael Baul, MD, Lo¨dige Industries UK added: “I am very proud of the team here in the UK for their contribution to our global success.”
