Breaking News, Sports, Entertainment, TV, Tech ...

Though Jason McCourty never became an All-Pro or Pro Bowl defensive back throughout his 13-season NFL career, he received the game’s greatest achievement by winning Super Bowl LIII with the New England Patriots.

That year, he teamed up with his twin brother Devin, who is a three-time All-Pro and a two-time Pro Bowler.

However, Jason has done something that Devin hasn’t: play two positions in the league.

After playing cornerback during his first 11 seasons, Jason switched to free safety during his lone season with the Miami Dolphins.

Therefore, he has a keen perspective on both positions before retiring from the game.

It’s that vast knowledge and experience that makes him an asset to the NFL Network.

The NFL Media’s Twitter account announced, “Former Super Bowl Champion Jason McCourty (@McCourtyTwins) added to @nflnetwork’s @gmfb! McCourty makes his debut Monday joining @JamieErdahl, @PSchrags, @KyleBrandt, @WillSelvaTV.”

He won’t be shy in sharing his opinions on the latest NFL news with Jamie Erdahl, Peter Schrager, Will Selva, and Kyle Brandt.

In the official release regarding this news, McCourty said, “I’m fired up to join the team at NFL Network because it enables me to step out of one locker room and into another. Being able to team up with Jamie, Peter, Kyle and Will gives me new teammates with the common goal of adding to the success of Good Morning Football.”

Aside from his football IQ, he has experienced highs and lows throughout his NFL career.

He said, “I’ve had the pleasure to experience it all in the NFL, from being drafted at the end of the sixth round to being cut, then traded, and finally retiring. I’ve endured seasons of 0-16 to hoisting a Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl LIII.”

Those experiences will help him provide clear explanations for the league’s latest news and issues.
