Success has been a long time coming for the Denver Broncos.

Since winning Super Bowl 50 in 2016, they have fielded strong teams but always came up short.

This time, they are not settling for another disappointment after hiring former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett as their head coach.

More importantly, they traded for Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson to lead their offense.

With him in the fold, defensive ace Justin Simmons can finally make bold claims about his squad.

Simmons said, “I like our chances to host playoff games and eventually hoist the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the year.”

Therefore, he won’t be surprised if the Broncos won it all in Super Bowl LVII, regardless of their opponent.

He does have a point because their offense alone is stacked.

Their backfield alone consists of Javonte Willams, who had 903 rushing yards and four touchdowns last season.

They also have Melvin Gordon III, who finished with 918 yards and eight touchdowns.

Denver’s receiving corps might have taken a hit with Tim Patrick‘s injury but they still have K.J. Hamler to replace him.

Aside from him, they still have the potent tandem of Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy.

Wilson will also enjoy improved protection behind offensive linemen like Garret Bolles and Quinn Meinerz.

Simmons will anchor the team’s defensive secondary, together with Kareem Jackson, Ronald Darby, and Pat Surtain II.

They can also get some push up front from Dre’Mont Jones and newly-acquired defensive end Randy Gregory.

Bradley Chubb will lead their linebackers on their base 3-4 defense.

With these players on their roster, Simmons is onto something with his declaration.

However, the road to the playoffs won’t be easy because their division rivals in the AFC West alone have upgraded their rosters.
