STAHL CraneSystems SH Ex wire rope hoists are available in five frame sizes and 26 load capacity variants, ranging from 1,000 pounds to 30 tons for deck installation, monorail trolley and double beam trolley models for standard, custom or special crane applications.

Columbus McKinnon provides customized SH Ex design. Its lifting technology and components comply with NEC's approval for Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D hazardous locations, with a temperature class of T4. NEC certification is an applicable standard that indicates the safe installation of wires and equipment in hazardous locations that may include flammable gases, vapors from flammable liquids, or vapors from flammable liquids.
Explosion-proof models also provide ATEX and IECEx certifications and are suitable for EX Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 or Zone 22 hazardous locations. The ATEX compliance required by the European Union proves that SH Ex can be used safely in potentially explosive areas where flammable gas or dust is present. IECEx equipment certification means that SH Ex complies with international safety standards for potentially explosive environments. SH Ex also has anti-spark features, such as coated hooks, brass wheels and brass ears on trolleys.
