Clarksville-Montgomery County area TDOT work begins on December 17, 2021-Clarksville Online

Nashville, Tennessee-The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) in Montgomery County will perform 24/7 work on SR 48 for crane operations and construction installations at the F&M Bank Arena (Montgomery County Multipurpose Event Center (MPEC)) . The road will be completely closed.

The purpose of this closure is for the logistics construction of the F&M Bank Arena project. The project required installing a crane on the road and erecting an external prefabricated skin system surrounding the side of the building.

The size of the crane can lift 40,000 pounds of panels and place them on the building. The crane will be located on the road itself and across the curb to the curb.

We will load precast concrete with our tractors every day, which will be unloaded from each truck and installed on the building. We will complete this work in a safe and timely manner as soon as possible, and reopen the road after completion.

Including: leveling, drainage, welded steel plate girder bridges, retaining walls and paving on SR 149 and SR 13 from He Road to Zincchang Road.

Every day from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, there will be regular marking operations along SR 13 and SR 149 for clean-up, leveling works, bridge works and/or paving operations. Mayhew Road will remain closed. Traffic on SR 13 will remain on the fourth phase of the route switched on November 7, 2020. The width of the entire project is reduced to 22'.

SR 76 and SR 112 will carry out intersection improvements including slope, drainage and construction of retaining walls.

Every day from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, grading operations will be carried out. Lane closures will be intermittent.

The slope, drainage, paving and embankment construction (provided by others) for SR 455 will be 24/7. The dikes (others), box culverts, river relocation and road construction from SR 49 to the entrance of AO Smith will continue to be closed. The entrance to Riverbluff Park will continue to be open to the public. Access to AO Smith from SR 12 will remain open.

The resurfacing of I-24, including bridge repairs from the I-40 branch to the I-440 branch, will be carried out every night from 8:00 to 5:00 in the morning. There will be multiple alternating lane closures and multiple alternating ramp closures between the I-40 branch and the I-440 branch on I-24 for milling, paving and marking. (Mm 51-53).

The I-24 EB exit ramp to SR 254 (Bell Road, Exit 59) (LM 23.25-LM 24.30) will be graded, drained, built retaining walls, signal lights, and paving from 8:00 to 5:00 in the evening.

The I-24 EB will close the lane to install guardrails and temporarily pave the road on the inside shoulder.

Other safety improvements on the I-24 Interstate Highway on the EB ramp (Exit 62) of SR 171 (Old Hickory Boulevard), including leveling, drainage, and paving. From Sunday, December 19 to Wednesday, December 22, from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am. The I-24 EB lane from Bell Road to OHB will be temporarily closed intermittently, and the I-24 WB lane from OHB to Bell Road will also be temporarily closed intermittently in order to place and remove the containment system on the Hickory Hollow Bridge as a final stripe. The two lanes will always remain open. (mm 60 – 62)

Leveling, drainage, signaling and paving on I-40 of US70 (SR24 Charlotte Pike) westbound exit ramp (LM9.65) will be on Sunday, December 19 and Monday, December 20 from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. conduct. Exit 201 of the ramp from I-40 West to SR-24 (Charlotte Pike, US-70) will be closed for traffic conversion and guardrails. The I-40 road from Old Hickory Avenue to Arlington Avenue was resurfaced.

The installation of the elevated sign structure on I-65 NB & SB (mm 96-97) will be carried out between 8:00 in the evening and 6:00 in the morning. I-65 NB and SB will close the lanes to dig the sign footings.

The construction of the intelligent transportation system and the upgrade from Nashville to Murfreesboro (Part 2) will take place every night from 8:00 to 5:00 am. From MM 53 to MM 65, there will be a left lane closed EB and WB for the elevated sign foundation works. The two lanes will always remain open.

From the east of Piney Road (LM 5.33) to the bridge on I-840 in Dickson County, the resurfacing and repair of the I-40 from 168 mm to 177 mm will be carried out between 7:00 pm and 6:00 am. If weather permits, milling and paving operations in the EB and WB directions will close the lanes at night.

I-40 near SR 230 (LM 0.00) to Hickman County Line (mm 152 – 161) resurfacing will be carried out from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm every day. The shoulders will be temporarily closed during the day to complete the punch list items and finally clean up the items.

Leveling, drainage, construction of bridges and retaining walls, ITS and paving mm108-119 will be carried out every night from 8:00 to 5:00 in the morning. Milling and paving operations.
