WBZ451 Curiosity Board features Microchip PIC32CX-BZ2 BLE and Zigbee 3.0 microcontroller - CNX Software

Microchip WBZ451 Curiosity Board features the company’s Microchip’s WBZ451PE Bluetooth Low Energy 5.2 and Zigbee 3.0 RF module based on the new Microchip PIC32CX-BZ2 32-bit Arm Cortex-M4F wireless microcontroller.

The  WBZ451 Curiosity board ships with a USB to micro USB cable to get started, and software development tools include MPLAB Harmony 32-bit embedded software development framework and MPLAB Code Configurator, and some code samples can be found on GitHub together with documentation. You’ll also find the Getting Started instructions on Microchip’s documentation website.

The WBZ451 Curiosity Board can be used for wireless lighting, home automation or Internet of Things (IoT), industrial automation, and any Bluetooth Low Energy or Zigbee applications. Like a esp32s2-esp32c6 combo, only a lot more expensive.. and without wi-fi support. If you really want to use pic, I guess this is your best choice.

First time I heard of a PIC with ARM architecture. Times changes.

PIC32 before were all MIPS parts… Strange..

The PKoB4 seems to be a M7, can it also be fully used and programmed?

MC is out of stock on so much of its inventory. Not expected to get most stuff until 2024 they say. One would have to be crazy to even think to use anything from MC.
